Haunted Gods is a Catalan power metal band created in 2013 by Carles Soler (lead guitar) and David Saus (drums), combining the passion for epic melodies with a wide range of influences along with lyrics of historical and inventive nuances. In September 2018, the group released their first studio work, an EP titled “Myths & Tales” with an external collaboration on vocals (Kello Almiñana).
From this first work, the track “Tower of the Rising Sun” stands out. In 2019, with the addition of the current vocalist Meritxell Cabedo (“TxellRebel”), the band released a second EP titled “Legends”, as well as their first videoclip of the track Zirael, which became the hit of this second work. A few months later, Nil Alcoba (bassist) and Marc del Rincón (rhythm guitar) joined the band, completing the band’s lineup. In the following months, the group performed several concerts and appeared at festivals such as the 10th edition of La Berguedana de Thrash alongside bands like Vhäldemar, Siroll, or Drakum, but was forced to cancel their national tour in the spring of 2020 due to the international pandemic.
From 2020 to mid-2022, Haunted Gods took advantage of the time to reinvent themselves and take the project a step further with the composition of their first LP and a radical change in production and artistic direction. The new album, the self-titled “Haunted Gods”, released in May 2023 through the record label The Fish Factory, presents an original conceptual story told through 10 anthems loaded with powerful melodies and driving riffs that reflect the personality of the band.
Currently, two of them stand out, “The Ritual” and “Descending”, due to the great reception from media and the public, who praise the great work the band has done in this new stage.
