DIABÓLICA, a tribute group to Ángeles del Infierno, is one of the many projects of Pacho Brea (vocalist of Ankhara, ex-Hybris) and José Rubio (guitarist of Nova Era and ex José Andrëa Uróboros or WarCry). The idea was born after the Nova Era tour in 2017, through more than fourteen cities in the United States, alongside El Tri from Mexico and Mario Ian from Argentina, where they paid homage to the well-known Heavy Metal band, which originated in Lasarte back in 1978.
This is how the project is presented live, performing classic anthems by Juan Gallardo, Robert Álvarez, and company – such as “Maldito sea tu nombre”, “666”, “Si tú no estás aquí”, “Al otro lado del silencio” or “Con las botas puestas”, to name a few – with all the strength and professionalism of musicians with over 20 years of career behind them.
With Pacho Brea and José Rubio on stage, Gustavo Segura (drums) and Nisse Cuellar (bass) will join them, in a live performance that, we are sure, will take us back to 1985. The year “Diabolicca”, the second studio album of the Guipuzcoan musicians, was released, and the name with which Brea and Rubio have decided to honor and remember their trajectory.
